It is available online and simplifies obtaining a visa to enter the country. The Oman eVisa removes the need for Greek visitors to visit an embassy or consulate and request a visa in person, saving them time and money. Instead, they can simply fill in an online application form, submitting the necessary documents, and shortly after, they will receive their eVisa.
Oman eVisa Requirements for Greek Travelers
Before commencing, Greek nationals need to confirm they comply with the requirements for the Oman eVisa. These include the following:
- An active email address which will be the primary communication channel for the Greek applicants
- A Greek passport valid for 6 months or higher from the date of arrival in Oman with 2 blank pages for entry and exit stamps
- A credit or debit card with sufficient funds to cover the eVisa processing fees and previously activated for online transactions
- Digital photo following the Oman passport photograph requirements detailed further ahead

Oman eVisa Types for Greek Nationals
The eVisa is an online tourist visa for Oman that grants Greek citizens up to 30 days. There are different options for Greek tourists to apply for; these are:
- The eVisa 26B which is a single-entry visa, allowing a 30-day stay
- The eVisa 36B which is a multiple-entry visa, allowing a 30-day stay in one year
- The eVisa for Greek residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which is a single-entry type and valid for a stay of up to 28 days
For Greek passport holders residing in a GCC country, these include Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
How To Apply For The Oman eVisa With a Greek Passport
Greek applicants must confirm they have a stable internet connection and the documentation explained previously. The online application form for the Oman eVisa takes 15 minutes to complete where Greek applicants will need to fill in the following information:
- Full name
- Place of birth
- Date of birth
- Home address
- Passport number
- Passport issue date
- Passport expiry date
Greek visitors will have to share the following contact information:
- Home address
- Phone number
- Email address
As mentioned above, The Oman authorities will use the e-mail address provided to send all updates plus the approved Oman eVisa.
It is important to note that the Oman eVisa is an individual travel authorization. Greek families arriving with minors will have to apply individually for each member regardless of their age.

Traveling to Oman From Greece
Once the Greek applicants have received the eVisa, they will be able to visit Oman without any concerns. They will have to carry the following documents on their person at passport controls:
- Printout of the approved eVisa
- Passport used for the online eVisa application
- Proof of accommodation (hotel or apartment)
- Proof of return or onward flight
Greek tourists should adhere to the dates allocated on their eVisa for both their incoming and outgoing flights. They should bear in mind that overstaying in Oman will incur financial sanctions for Greek visitors.
eVisa extensions for Greeks in Oman
If Greek travelers wish to prolong their stay in Oman, depending on their visa, they can request an extension of their Oman eVisa. The eVisas available for an extension are the following:
- Oman Visa 26B which can be prolonged for 28 days
- Oman eVisa for residents of GCC Countries which can be extended for 7 days
To request an extension, they must visit the Royal Oman Police (ROP) information counter at the Muscat International Airport between 07:00 am and 02:00 pm and pay the extension fee in cash.
