Oman eVisa Application Form

In order to obtain an Oman tourist eVisa, eligible citizens are required to complete the simple Oman eVisa application form, which takes just minutes to complete. The online visa application for Oman was introduced in March 2018 by the Royal Oman police in order to expedite the process for issuing a visa for tourism purposes.
It replaces the visa on arrival function previously available for the same foreign citizens eligible for the eVisa, allowing travelers to avoid long queues to process a visa upon arrival. Those who apply for the Oman online visa are able to quickly gain access to the country at Oman border checkpoints.

How to Apply for Oman Visa Online?

In order to complete an eVisa application for Oman, it is necessary to fill in the online form with basic personal and passport data and travel information. This includes:

After filling in the required information, it is necessary to pay the visa fee using a valid credit or debit card in order to submit the Oman visa online application. Once the form has been submitted, applicants will be sent updates and notifications about the status of the Oman eVisa to the email address provided.

Upon approval of the online visa application for Oman, it is necessary to print at least one (1) copy of the eVisa to present at Oman border control to gain entry to the country. It is also necessary to present some supporting documentation, which will vary depending on the applicant’s nationality.

Personal Documentation to Complete the Oman eVisa Form

In order to complete the Oman visa online application process, applicants must supply the documents required for the Oman visa. It is necessary to have:

  • A passport from an eligible country valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of arrival
  • A copy of the passport information page
  • A digital photograph of the traveler, passport-sized

Those eligible to apply because of residence in a GCC country are required to provide a copy of their valid GCC residence card, as well as proof they are entering Oman directly from a GCC member state (e.g. airline tickets). Certain nationalities are also required to provide a copy of a valid visa or residence permit from either the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan or Australia or one of the Schengen member states.

Upon entry to Oman, all holders of an approved eVisa must present:

  • A printout of the approved Oman online visa
  • The same passport used for the online application form
  • A valid hotel booking in Oman
  • Proof of a return flight or a ticket for onward travel

It is essential for travelers with dual nationality to make sure they use the same passport to travel to Oman as that used to complete the Oman visa online application. Entry to Oman will not be granted if the details of the traveler’s passport do not match those stated on the visa.

Duration and Validity of the Visa

For the majority of eligible citizens, the Oman online visa is available as either a single entry visa for stays up to 10 or 30 days, valid for one (1) month from the date of approval, or as a multiple entry visa which allows a total stay of 30 days over a one (1) year period of validity.

Applicants who have a residence permit for a GCC member state are able to obtain a single entry Oman eVisa for a consecutive stay of 28 days, valid for one (1) month from the date of approval. All applicants are required to indicate whether they have GCC residency, how long they plan to stay, and whether they require a single or multiple entry visa when completing the Oman eVisa application.

Eligible citizens can submit an Oman eVisa application at any time. If the departure date is later than one month from the moment of application, the approved eVisa for Oman will be sent prior to the trip taking the arrival date into consideration.
